Fashion Institute of KOLON

In 1989, the company formed a research institute called Fashion Institute of KOLON (FIK) to help make Korea into a fashion industry leader. The institute has been dedicated to teaching future-oriented fashion specialists. The professors of institute, who have participated in industry-university projects (in connection with the fashion team of the KOLON Group) and fashion business, are trying to bridge the gap between academia and practical business and focusing on real-life fashion business. The institute is committed to produce innovative and distinguished human resources that meet the needs of the fashion industry.

KOLON Fountain Culture Square

The company is holding KOLON Fountain Culture Square, a performance that encourages audience participation, at the fountain in front of KOLON Tower in Gwacheon, every Saturday evening from June to September each year. This event has been cited as a good example of bringing community and business together through culture and awarded with a plaque of appreciation from Gwancheon City Council. In 2005, the company was voted an excellent business by Korea Mecenat Conference, proving itself as an exemplary socially responsible corporation.
